When most people think of England they conjure up images of Big Ben, double decker busses, and phone booths.

Living here has changed that for me.  Now, when I think of England, one of my most poignant images is of field after field after field (after field, after field, after field, after field, after one more field…)

Because, when you live in central England, as I do, you see them quite a bit.

(I also think of rain.  But that is an altogether different story- especially as these photos were taken before the rainclouds had rolled in, and so it isn’t all that relevant.  I will say though that  I’ve never appreciated the sun like I do now.  I get why people used to worship it.)

These are the fields near our home that we like to walk through.  They are ever so beautiful in the springtime.

We have to walk through this old cemetery to get from the one field to the other field.

I find cemeteries very peaceful.

"Don’t you think daisies are the friendliest flowers?" (Name that movie)

I’m kinda in love with this house.

It makes me want to spout out Jane Austen quotes and roll around in it’s flower beds.

Sometimes I think I have strange inclinations….
