33 Dale St

So, after reviewing my past blog entries I realized that I have yet to include any photos of our home since we’ve moved in!  We have a coworker coming over for dinner tonight, so I only had time for a few quick shots (but none of the kitchen, cause you do NOT want to see what my kitchen looks like when I’m prepping a big meal-believe me it ain’t pretty)

Here’s the street view of our building.

Our home is called The Studio, named so because of it’s size and because it was formerly the owner’s art studio- hence the abundance of track lighting. We got it fully furnished- which means that the main furniture all came with the home.  The main furniture and the kettle, because no british home should be without an electronic kettle.

If you walked through the front door of our building this is what you would see to your left.  Straight in front of you would be our door (see the photo before this past one).

This is our “atrium" (or aaaaaaaaaatrium as our letting agent would say).  It pretty much sold us on the place.  I love all the light it allows in, it makes even gloomy British days feel brighter.

And this is our living/dining room area.  You can see the edge of the kitchen on the left. Behind me is the front door and the stairs heading downstairs are to my right. (PS- WHO WHO WHO WHO WHO buys a white couch to leave in a “fully furnished" apartment?  CRAZIES.  that’s who.)

A closer shot of the dining area

Our front door.

Yes, we do have some decorations. :) My parents bought these for us in Provance.

And this is our version of 99 bottles of beer.  We aren’t alcoholics, I swear!  Basically, we have absoutely no storage space, and we like having people over to the house a lot, so we literally keep our shelves stocked.  We’ve gotta make friends somehow.  (The coronas are left over from Cinco de Mayo and obviously no one wants to drink them)

And here are the steps leading downstairs to the bedroom.  Yes, they are white.  Yes, that is the dumbest color you could ever paint a staircase.  And yes, they make me want to poke not one but both my eyeballs out.

And downstairs is the bedroom!

Bathroom.

Back doors leading outside.

Our “garden" as the Brits like to call it.  The stairs lead up to our parking space in the back.

And there they are!  The guys just pulled up- which means I’ve gotta run.  I hope you enjoyed the mini tour!
