These past couple weeks have been quite a time of celebrations. First, Glenn and I made it back to the UK and are officially unpacked and settled back home (hooray!) Second, We got to witness my nephew’s first steps. I’ll post more on that later, but for now I’ll just say that it was so special to be able to witness that moment. I’ll always cherish the memory. Third, It was pretty cool to watch the Royal Wedding. After living in England I feel like I’ve gained so much more understanding on what the British Royal family means to the people here, and how important this day is to them, especially because Kate came from such humble beginnings. I really do wish them all the best. How funny are those little kids? And last, but certainly not least, after possibly the world’s longest game of hide and seek, we finally got Osama Bin Laden. (Is it wrong that all I thought of when I heard was my father’s voice grunting “Hoorah”?) A few months after 9/11 happened I had the privilege of interviewing one of the Pentagon crash survivors, a man named Brian Birdwell. This man is a true inspiration- he had over 60% of his body burnt by the fires and now lived to inspire and encourage others. Here’s a clip of his reaction after hearing the news: (Click Here) If you’d like to hear more check out his website: facethefire.org
